Assaults and speeding through A19 roadworks - a round up of Sunderland court cases

The following cases from the Sunderland area were heard at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court:

Craig Horn, 26, of Kingsland Square, Downhill, Sunderland, was fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on May 28.

Robert Leslie Carroll, 59, of Hudson Road, Sunderland, received three penalty points on his licence, was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting speeding through the A19 Testo’s roadworks on January 14.

James Joseph Ramsey Spence, 28, of Allendale Road, Farringdon, Sunderland, was banned from driving for 44 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting drink driving on August 9.

Andrzej Kepczyk, 52, of Pontop Street, East Rainton, was banned from driving for 22 months, fined £457 and ordered to pay a £45 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving on June 20.

Jude Matteo Carradice Lamond, 18, of Hewitt Street, Sunderland, was placed on a community order, fined £240 and ordered to pay £100 compensation and a £95 victim surcharge after admitting five assaults, three offences of failing to comply with community protection notices and one count each of criminal damage and possessing amphetamines between May 19-August 18.

Levi Deberry, 20, of Western Moor, Blackfell, Washington, was banned from driving for a year, fined £173 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving on July 30.

Shaun Peter Tasker, 36, of Uphill Drive, Sacriston, was banned from driving for 17 months, ordered to complete 40 hours unpaid work and pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting failing to provide a specimen of breath when asked to do so on July 22.
