Appeal after a bicycle was stolen from a Sunderland street

Police are looking for information after thieves steal a bicycle from Hispsburn Drive in Sunderland.

An investigation has been launched after a bicycle was stolen from Hipsburn Drive, in the Humbledon area of Sunderland.

It was chained to a lamppost outside an address on the street before police received reports that it had been stolen at around 4pm on July 15.

The bike has been described as a blue Carrera with hints of green on the frame.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Shortly before 4pm on July 15, police received a report of a theft of a bicycle on Hipsburn Drive, Sunderland.

”Inquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact police quoting reference number 700 15/07/20."
