A man was pronounced dead after police and other emergency services were called to a house.

Police and other emergency services were called to an address in Witherwack, Sunderland, at 6pm yesterday after concerns were raised for the 20-year-old.

A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: “There is not believed to be a third party involved and there are no suspicious circumstances.”

A file is now being prepared for the coroner by officers.

The North East Ambulance Service has confirmed it was called just before 6pm following concerns for a man and arrived at the house at 6.04pm.

The address and name of the man have not been released by the emergency services.
