We've been down to see it arrive and the queue is growing fast with wait times of around one hour.

It had stopped at Tesco, in Brunton Lane, Newcastle, yesterday.

The Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour started on November 17 and will visit 44 locations across the UK before coming to a stop on December 23.

Those who see the truck will be able to get their photo taken with the famous wagon and try free samples.

A Coca-Cola spokesman said: "On your visit you'll have the chance to wander through an enchanted winter wonderland, before having your photo taken with the iconic truck.

"Once the sun has set, you'll be invited to enjoy an incredible after-dark surprise as we screen a short Christmas animation onto the truck, powered by your goodwill and festive cheer."

It's the sixth year in a row that the truck has toured the UK.
