Cleadon Village History Society meets tonight in the Old Schoolroom at 7.15pm. The speaker will be John Derry on the subject of “Earl Grey”. New members and visitors are welcome to come along.

The lunch club meets on Friday in All Saints’ parish hall. Come in at 11am for coffee and to meet friends. Then a two-course meal is served at noon followed by tea or coffee. If you would like to join in or if you would require transport, please ring 5190582.

The coffee morning on Saturday in Cleadon Methodist Church hall from 10am until noon will be in aid of church funds. There will be a cake stall and a raffle with plenty of coffee or tea, scones and people to chat with. Come along for an entertaining morning.

A T’ai Chi class takes place every Wednesday at 10.45am in All Saints’ parish hall. This gentle exercise improves breathing, balance and energy. Go along to a class or ring 07891 419006 for more information.

South Shields Community School karate Club meets at the school in Nevinson Avenue on Mondays from 5pm. All ages and abilities are catered for. Just go along or telephone 07979538992 for more information.

A French class for children from Reception class to Year 6 is available on Wednesdays in the Old Schoolroom. For times and to book a place ring 07454383249. Lingo Kids classes help children to learn in a supportive and fun environment, developing their skills in communication and cultural awareness. Experienced specialist teachers help children to progress at their own pace and provide a solid grounding for future studies.
