On Monday, the Men’s Fellowship of All Saints’ Church meets in the Committee Room in the parish hall at 7.30pm for their first meeting after the summer break. All are welcome to attend.

Next Tuesday, the Cleadon Village History Society meets in the Old Schoolroom next to the parish hall at 7.15pm. The speaker will be John Derry and the subject is Earl Grey. New members are very welcome to come along.

The Lunch Club in All Saints’ parish hall will be open on Friday, September 30. Everyone is welcome to come in for coffee, biscuits and a social chat from 11am and the two-course lunch is served at noon. Transport can be available but phone 0191 519 0582 for catering purposes and further information.

Soup and Roll lunches are available in All Saints’ parish hall every Tuesday from 11.45am until 1.15pm. You are served excellent homemade soup with a roll followed by tea or coffee with homemade cake at a cost of £3. There is also a friendly welcome and friends to chat to, so come along any Tuesday and enjoy a lunchtime get-together.

A Weight Watchers class takes place on Mondays in Cleadon Village Primary Academy in Boldon Lane at 6.30pm. Anyone wishing to lose a pound or two in time for the Christmas season can just go along to a session where there is friendly helpful advice and support.

A Dokan Karate group meets on Thursdays in All Saints’ parish hall. A class for juniors takes place from 5pm until 6pm and an adults’ class from 7pm until 8pm. The group is very successful in competitions so find out more by attending or by ringing 07939 130411.

French classes are available on Wednesdays for children from reception class up to Year 6 in the Old Schoolroom next to the parish hall. For more information, phone 07454 383249.
