Today is the second day for the children of Cleadon Village Church of England Academy to take part in Experience Christmas at All Saints’ Church. Small groups visit the different “stations” in turn to hear and do activities for each part of the Christmas Story.
At 6.30pm tonight, the Carols round the Christmas Tree will take place at the war memorial site. There will be a brass band and a collection at the end in aid of St Clare’s Hospice. Enjoy the hospitality of the Britannia (Toby) Inn afterwards.
Also tonight at 7.30pm, the Customs House Big Band makes a welcome return to All Saints’ parish hall. There will be a special blend of Big Band music with a hint of Christmas to come, and the voice of Ruth Lambert. Admission is by ticket only because of catering and these are £5, including refreshments, from 5363346.
On Saturday there will be a Christmas coffee morning in Cleadon Methodist Church hall from 10am to 2pm.
On Sunday there will be a Christingle service in All Saints’ parish hall at 4pm. All are invited to join with Oasis for the service and for tea or coffee and cake afterwards.
