Church raid arrests

TWO men have been arrested after church was ransacked for cash.

They were arrested after Red House Methodist Church was raided by thugs who smashed their way inside the Redcar Road building, where they caused about £10,000 of damage, stole £3,000-worth of electrical equipment and cash earlier this month.

A 37-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and a 32-year-old on suspicion of attempted burglary.

They have been released on police bail.
