Chance to dress as a Tudor

Have your say

EVER wanted to dress up as a Tudor or write with a quill?

Durham County Record Office’s fourth annual family fun day, on June 8, allows visitors to don 16th-century costumes and try skills from yesteryear.

Youngsters can make their own medieval seal and find out more about the toys and games children played with in the past.

The free event, which runs from 9.30am to 12.30pm, will also give visitors of all ages a rare opportunity to take a look in the County Hall strong rooms, where the archives are kept.

Booking is not required. For details call 383 4210.
