Centre’s challenge for fun

FAMILIES in search of holiday fun could be in with a chance to win a theme park pass.

Shoppers in Durham are being offered the chance to win a year’s free entry to Adventure Valley, on the outskirts of the city.

Prince Bishops Shopping Centre will host a free egg hunt on Good Friday and Easter Saturday in the Bishops’ Quarter.

Cut-out eggs will be placed in stores and children will be asked to find the eggs to win a chocolate lolly from Thornton’s.

They will then be invited to enter their parents in a competition to win the pass.

The complex has also re-opened its Little Bishops Play Palace, where one of its empty shops has been turned into a play area.

Richard Toynbee, centre manager, said: “We were delighted at how well the Little Bishops Play Palace was received earlier this year and we were inundated by parents asking us to open it over Easter.”

The centre’s opening hours are 11am to 5pm on Good Friday and Easter Monday, and 9am to 5.30pm on Easter Saturday. It will close on Easter Sunday.
