CHRISTMAS will be coming early to a beauty spot in Boldon – and it’s the perfect gift for youngsters taking an ‘Elfy’ interest in the festive season.
West Boldon Lodge, a purpose-built environmental education centre, is hosting a Santa’s Winter Woodland throughout December.
Tickets are already selling out for the yuletide treat, which will see youngsters given a chance to become Santa’s latest little helper.
The fun-packed two-hour event gives little ones a chance to become a certified Elf helper, learning trusty skills to spread some extra Christmas cheer.
An eye-catching Christmas woodland will be on display, with the Christmas Fairy and Father Christmas himself on hand to greet the children.
The centre, in Newcastle Road, gets into the spirit of every season – with the Christmas activities coming hot on the heels of Halloween and Bonfire Night events.
The West Boldon Lodge is on 13 acres of land, including diverse woodland, lakes and a meadow.
Families, schools and community groups visit all year round – and an extra sprinkling of Christmas magic attracts bumper crowds every December.
Santa’s Winter Woodland runs from December 6 until 23.
