Sunderland police have seized a cannabis farm in city.

The cannabis farm containing around 50 mature plants was found and seized by police on April 12 at an address in Blind Lane in Sunderland.

The Blind Lane property was searched after three men were arrested on suspicion of conspire/concerned in the supply of controlled drugs in Vane Street in the city. Electricity in the property had also been tampered with and was made safe by an electrician.

Sunderland West Neighbourhood Policing Team Sergeant, Ash Hopper, said: “This was a sizeable cannabis farm that has been dismantled and disrupted and taken off our streets.

“Our efforts to tackle drugs and drug supply will continue and we will continue to take action to target those suspected of being involved.”
