Cannabis and car recovered by road policing team on patrol

Two people have been arrested in connection with a cannabis farm found when officers were out searching for a driver.

Cleveland and Durham Road Policing Unit has said its officers were searching for a driver in Horden after they seized a car when they became suspicious drugs were being grown at a house.

The team posted on their Facebook page: "It's all been happening in Horden today.

"This BMW was seized following a pursuit, the driver is on his toes but we are confident he'll soon be under arrest.

"While out looking for the driver we sniffed out a cannabis grow at a house nearby in Dene Crescent - we found this and two arrests have been made."
