HUNDREDS of businesses across the region have been flocking to take part in a series of free, interactive finance workshops, delivered by Business Link.

Lead trainer and financial expert, Paul Stephenson, explains how these workshops can benefit your business and why it is important to take advantage of them now.

Paul says: “The five modules cover everything from basic finance, through to financial planning, money management, growing your business and raising finance. From cash flow and balance sheets to profit, loss and practicing pitches, every essential aspect of business finance for SME’s is taught.

“Often, delegates who attend the workshops are from start-up companies or businesses looking to take the next step and to do so they need to secure funding. It’s important to build the necessary confidence and skills in order to take on this challenge and during each event delegates are given the opportunity to practice real life scenarios, such as pitching to potential investors.

“We also offer an interactive e-learning facility, along with a number of key download documents, making it easier for anyone with a busy schedule to engage with the course content online at a time convenient for them.

“The workshops are very informal and open to people of all abilities, turning what is often assumed a dry subject into something fun and interesting that can hugely impact upon your business. On passing all five modules and participating in the e-learning, delegates will be entitled to a Skillsfirst Level 3 award in Business Finance.

“We would encourage business people hoping to take part to act fast in order to avoid disappointment. The workshops will be ending soon so there is only a limited time available to sign up.”
