A SUNDERLAND exercise coach is pumped up after being named as a UK retail brand’s face of health and fitness.
Katie Bulmer-Cooke, whose exercise regime The Little Black Dress Club has been rolled out internationally, has been unveiled as Argos’ new health and fitness expert.
Katie, 27, of Ashbrooke, who was picked as UK Fitness Professional of the Year 2013, said to be chosen to front fitness and exercise by the catalogue chain is “amazing”.
“Every time someone buys a piece of exercise equipment from Argos, my face pops up alongside some questions I’ve answered,” she said.
“It’s an honour just to be asked. It’s so bizarre to see myself on the Argos website, and the response has been amazing, with so many people beginning to follow my top tips, up and down the country.
“And I’m looking forward to seeing my feature in their mini catalogue, which you can get in the store.”
Katie, who has previously released a fitness DVD, is also the star of website Gym Cube TV.
The instructor, who has been pictured in magazines including Top Sante and FHM, aired her show The Little Black Dress Workout on the website before Christmas, and said it was the site’s most viewed programme.
Her new show AAA workout is now airing on the website.
“I’ve done fitness DVDs before, but I like this because it is more to a live audience,” she said.
“TV is something I really want to do, so I thought this could be a really good stepping stone. I hope it will spread the word about my business, and it is something I have always wanted to do.”
