A network group has met to help generate business growth.

Peterlee Business Park Group’s Network With Your Neighbour event saw around 40 delegates from firms in the area attend.

The group was set up four years ago by Business Durham to boost turnover and establish a stronger unified voice for firms. The meeting included a presentation from PBP’s newest member – sheet metal work and fabrication firm, D&S Services in Hunter Road.

There was also a chance for members to network, and inter-trade.

Joanne Urquhart-Arnold, of Business Durham and member of the PBP Steering Group, said: “The event was really busy and was a huge success.

“Businesses came along and enjoyed time networking and getting to know one another in a relaxed environment.

“Then we had a presentation by Alastair of D&S Services, a firm which recently moved to Peterlee Business Park, so it was interesting to find out the company’s background, what it does, and potential opportunities for inter-trading with other firms.”

She added: “If there are any other businesses who wish to come on board then we would be happy to hear from them.”

PBP has members from Peterlee’s three industrial estates and two business parks.
