Sunderland businesses are set to benefit from access to new superfast broadband after the launch of a city-centre wireless service from Advantex Network Solutions Ltd.

The Place, St Thomas Street Business Centre, Varsity Nightclub and Hedley and Co Solicitors among the first to sign-up to the new 50Mbps service.

Advantex director Stephen O’Connell said: “We are supporting businesses at these sites, paving the way to help them unlock their potential and underpin growth and expansion plans through the provision of safe and secure, super-fast wireless broadband services.”

The launch comes after the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) announced it wants to see businesses given access to faster broadband speeds.

The new service will let city businesses access superfast broadband for under £50 per month.
