COMPANIES from across the North East still have time to showcase their job opportunities with the workforce of the future.
Work Discovery Week – Sunderland 2013 (WDW) runs from July 1-5 and will feature activities ranging from open days at schools and businesses to workshops and demonstrations.
The week will begin with a careers fair at the Stadium of Light – and businesses from across the region still have time to sign up and take a stand.
WDW is being supported by organisations including SAFC, Nissan, Grundfos, Sunderland University, Sunderland College, Arriva, The National Apprenticeship Service, The Bridges and Gentoo.
“The Careers Fair offers companies from across the region the chance to really engage with the workforce of the future and to highlight to them the opportunities that exist in the area,” said Gary Hutchinson, commercial director of SAFC.
“We’ve already had a fantastic response, but we hope more companies from across the North East will now come on board and take up this unique opportunity.”
