A company which started out with only two clients has grown its business across the North East.

T3 Security, which was formed by Jarrow dad-of-two Richard Townsend and Peter Moore, looks after pubs, bars, clubs and eateries in Sunderland, Hartlepool and South Tyneside – as well as Newcastle and Northumberland.

But when the firm was started by the former doormen three years ago, it was unknown just how much business would fly.

Now, there are100 staff and around 40 clients on the books.

Richard said: “We’ve come a long way since we started three years ago and it’s a great feeling seeing our workforce and portfolio grow.

“We supply staff to venues in all corners of the region, from Blyth and Newcastle to Sunderland, Durham and Stockton.

“Considering we started with two pubs on our books, that’s pretty impressive growth and we’re really proud of what we’ve achieved.”

The company’s door supervisors, who are both male and female, are each registered with the Security Industry Authority (SIA).

One of T3’s goals was to shake off the age-old image of the “bouncer”, providing a professional service to each client.

The company has also taken on “troubled” venues and transformed their reputations for the better.

Peter, of Longbenton, added: “It’s so satisfying to be able to help turn around a pub from somewhere that people are worried about going to because of previous violence, to a safe place where they can enjoy socialising.”

Local clients include The Roker Hotel, Sunderland, Club del Mar, South Shields, and The Grand Hotel, Hartlepool.
