BUSINESS leaders have been shortlisted for an award.

Ten people from nine companies in the North East are in the regional round of Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year awards.

They include Nagama Ebanks-Beni and Nima Beni, of Prima Cheese, in Seaham; and Lee Hartley, of Moneygate Group, Boldon Colliery.

“These business leaders represent wealth and job creation, which are important factors in tough markets,” said Anthony Preston, of Pets at Home, who chairs the judging panel. “I look forward to meeting them and hearing their entrepreneurial stories and diverse approaches to growth.”
