WASHINGTON-BASED Fastflow Pipeline Services is digging for victory after landing a major new deal.
The firm has been selected as an approved partner by the National Grid for gas diversion and installation works, one of just six firms chosen to carry out projects worth up to £5million throughout the UK.
“We are very pleased that our longstanding partnership with National Grid Gas Transmission has been extended and we look forward to continuing our work with this blue chip client,” said chief executive Neil Armstrong.
“It was particularly important our bid to be a framework partner was successful because there’s a lot of opportunity to win new work.
“Projects such as the proposed high speed rail link between London and Birmingham, for example, will mean increasing amounts of gas diversion works need to be done.”
Fastflow has also been allocated its first project under the new agreement, which will see control valves at the Alrewas regulator station, near Burton-on-Trent, replaced by modern volumetric controls.
