NORTH East employers who missed the deadline to submit their 2011-12 annual return, face even higher penalties if they do not act now.
That is the warning from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).
It is writing to employers across the region, warning them that penalties for missing the May 19 deadline for Employer Annual Returns will increase if a late return is received after June 19.
Penalties are charged at a rate of £100 per 50 employees for each month, or part month, that a return is late.
