A DOZEN new jobs have been created with the launch of two businesses.

The Gates shopping centre in Durham has welcomed Biz-R, which has branched out from its original base in Sunderland’s High Street West, and taken on four staff, with the remaining new posts created by CeX, which has also moved into the mall.

Daniel Tabiner, The Gates’ operations manager, said: “We are thrilled to have secured two great retailers at The Gates.

“It’s an exciting time to join the centre as we continue to strengthen The Gates’ reputation as Durham’s main city centre shopping destination.

“We envisage both Biz-R and CeX will be popular among our shoppers, especially those looking for new technology products and those who wish to relax with great food and drink.”

CeX offers customers the option to buy, sell and exchange products including phones.
