BUS passengers will face disruption when work sewerage improvements begin.
Northumbrian Water will carry out work on two pumping stations in Whitburn.
The £236,000 scheme starts on Monday and will take up to two months to complete.
It involves renovating mechanical equipment at Whitburn Steel and Bents pumping stations.
Project manager Simon Cossar, said: “We need to install a new electrical panel at Bents pumping station, which will result in having to temporarily close the bus stop on the southbound carriageway of the A183, opposite 21 Whitburn Bents Road, for up to one week during the course of the work.
“Residents should be reassured that we will do all we can to keep any disruption to a minimum.”
