The Bridges is getting set for its annual Black Friday event, on November 25, which is expected to involve many of the centre’s leading retailers offering some of the best deals of the year.

Black Friday, which started in America, has grown in size and stature over the last five years and is now one of the biggest events on the retail calendar.

Stores taking part slash the prices on some of their biggest products for one day only, and shoppers have been known to queue for days to get their hands on the best bargains.

Andy Bradley, centre director at the Bridges, explained how this year’s deals and offers are currently being finalised, but hinted that shoppers were in for potentially their best year yet in 2016.

“We have watched Black Friday double in popularity in recent years, and now it has become as huge a deal as the Boxing Day or January sales,” he said.

“It has become a big annual event where shoppers can save a lot of money, and falls at the perfect time, just a month before Christmas.

“Last year we had our biggest Black Friday event to date here at the Bridges, but already 2016 looks like it could be far bigger.

“Most of our stores are currently finalising their offers and we expect to be able to reveal some incredible deals very soon.

“We are all very excited about this year’s Black Friday event, and we think our customers will love what we’ve got lined up.”

To give shoppers an extra bit of time to buy items, the Bridges will be open until 7pm on the day.
