A BOY was rescued from a tree after he became stuck when he fell.
It is believed the 10-year-old’s dad made an emergency call for help after his son was left hanging upside down 1.5 metres above the ground after falling while he climbed a tree on Primrose Crescent, in Fulwell.
Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to help the boy.
They used specialist cutting equipment to free him from the branches yesterday at about 6.15pm.
The youngster was checked over by paramedics and given the all-clear.
