Boy injured in crash

A TEENAGER was airlifted to hospital after his moped collided with a car in Seaham.

The 16-year-old boy suffered injuries to his head, leg, arm and pelvis in the crash next to the Mill Inn in Stockton Road.

He was treated by a doctor at the scene after the incident, which happened shortly after 9am yesterday.

The boy was flown by air ambulance to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, where his condition was described as stable.
