South Tyneside Positive Activities/Boldon Youth and Community Project’s Easter Holiday Activities this year included a trip for some of the young people to Whitley Bay Ice Rink where they had a two-hour session on the ice and an hour session of Zorb Football.

The Youth Project was able to provide these activities after securing funding from The Police Commissioners Fund at the end of last year. Twelve young people ‘endured’ a two-night residential where they took part in indoor camping at Barrowburn. They participated in map and orienteering skills where they had to navigate themselves through the surrounding areas. Throughout the walk the children were able to absorb the spectacular views and develop their team skills as well as discovering and collecting carcasses of deceased wildlife. The group would like to give a massive thank you to Escape Interventions and Allan Moore for providing this activity.
