DRIVING instructors took a spin around a racetrack with a blind driver.
The annual racetrack challenge saw BSM instructors guide participants around the Nissan track in Sunderland on Sunday, to raise money for the charity Guide Dogs.
Some drivers had a visual impairment, but they were competing on a level playing field with sighted people, as all wore a blindfold.
Mark Peacock, head of BSM driving school, said: “As instructors, they are all experts in good communication, patience and holding their nerve, but they need all that, and more, for this event.
“Being driven by a blindfolded driver is a real challenge but they are all experts, and it was a great day.”
