Bar gets green light to extend and build new sandwich bar
A Washington venue has won permission to extend its premises and create a new ‘delicatessen sandwich bar’.
Last year, Legends Bar and Function Room in Tyne Gardens, Concord, submitted plans to Sunderland City Council to revamp its base.
After winning approval this month, the venue will soon boost a new front entrance porch, new boundary wall and railings and a single storey extension.
According to an application submitted to the council, the works are expected to create one full-time job.
The new area will be used for the preparation of sandwiches only and has no specific requirements in terms of air conditioning or ventilation.
