Sunderland City 10k and Sunderland City Half Marathon runners are facing a wet run this weekend.

The Met Office is forecasting heavy showers throughout Sunday – but hopefully there will be breaks in the clouds for the thousands taking part in the event.

We’ll be braving the rain and will be along the route getting photos of participants, so make sure to check to see those pounding the pavements.
