Autographs up for auction in Boldon

A large collection of footballer's autographs is set to go under the hammer at an up and coming auction.

Boldon Auction Galleries have more than 186 autographs from players who took their place in teams during the 1950s.

They are accompanied with pencil caricature drawings of the footballers, some of whom played for Sunderland and Newcastle.

Some players known as the Busby Babes have also found their way into the collection.

The auction will take place on November 9 and will also feature a large collection of Oriental artefacts.

The auction will be overseen by the Dickinson Real Deal film crew who will be capturing the sales.

The ITV1 show which airs on an afternoon is presented by David Dickinson.

The show invites the public to bring in their antiques to have them valued.

Dealers will then try and purchase them for cash which can be accepted or declined. If the offer is refused the item goes to auction.
