Armed police on guard at Sunderland general election count
Armed police were patrolling the hall as the General Election count got underway at Silksworth Community Centre in Sunderland.
A Sunderland constituency has been the first to declare for the past six elections.
Polling closed at 10pm, and ballot boxes began to arrive at the count at 10.03pm.
