APPRENTICE hopeful Katie Bulmer-Cooke jetted off to success in her latest task.
The Wearside mum-of-one was treated to a jet pack ride after her team was once again victorious on The Apprentice last night.
Katie, 29, from Ashbrooke, who won the New Business of the Year trophy at the Sunderland Echo Portfolio Business Awards two years ago for her online personal fitness and training business The Little Black Dress Club, helped the girls to another win.
This means she will be back on the screens next week as the remaining hopefuls carry out the next task set by Lord Sugar, hoping to win the £250,000 prize.
Last night, in a first for the show, Lord Sugar fired a candidate before they even made it to the boardroom showdown.
Marketing manager and aspiring luxury fashion retailer Robert Goodwin was told “you’re fired” before his project manager Scott McCulloch even got the chance to bring him back into the boardroom to fight for his place.
Goodwin had refused to take on being project manager for the task, even though he had been asked to step up at the beginning of the episode by Lord Sugar.
Lord Sugar said: “I get the funny feeling we’re going to get finger pointing at one particular individual, Robert, for not taking up the project manager’s position and it would be an easy way out for everybody to be saying Robert this and Robert that.
“So I’m going to make that much easier for everyone - Robert, I don’t like people who bottle out. So Robert - you’re fired.”
And after that sacking McCulloch too was brought back to justify his own position, with Lord Sugar sending him packing.
