Appeal for information after hit and run in Sunderland

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was damaged in a hit and run in Sunderland.

It happened at around 1.20pm on Monday, June 6, when the car was waiting at traffic lights near the Queen Alexander Bridge, in the city centre. A grey Vectra hit the vehicle before driving off in the direction of Backhouse Park. It's thought the left side of the Vectra would have been damaged by the collision.

The driver of the car that was hit was not injured in the incident.
