Appeal for help after road accident in Sunderland

Police have appealed for help after a crash in Sunderland.

At around 11.50am on Saturday, July 14, police received a report of a one-vehicle accident involving a black BMW 318 on the eastbound carriageway and slip road of the A1231 from the Galleries at Washington.

Officers are keen to trace the driver of a white-coloured BMW X6, which is understood to have been in the area at the time.

Any witnesses, in particular, anyone with dashcam footage, should contact PC Anth French 2682 by calling 101 quoting reference 140718.
