POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a crash which left a man with serious injuries after he was hit by a bus.
It comes after police received a report of a collision on Monday afternoon involving a pedestrian and a bus on Chester Road prior to the junction with Kayll Road.
Emergency services attended shortly before 3pm and the man, aged in his 50s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
He remains in hospital in a stable condition.
A section of the road was closed for a short time.
Officers are carrying out enquiries and asking any witnesses who were in the area at about 2.30pm on Monday to contact them on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference 659 081214 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
