CONTROVERSIAL reality TV star Charlotte Letitia Crosby is getting her teeth into a new series of Geordie Shore.

The former Ttonic barmaid from Biddick Woods is pictured tucking into kangaroo kebabs to promote the sixth series of the show which was filmed in Australia.

Since launching in 2011 as a North East version of the American series Jersey Shore, Geordie Shore has become the Marmite of TV shows, both loved and hated for its portrayal of bed-hopping and excessive drinking.

Charlotte, 23, a former St Anthony’s School girl, says fans can expect something different from the new series which launches on Tuesday.

“This time around is completely different, and we are all really excited for people to see what we go up to. There were a few things from past series that fans were maybe getting a bit bored of – but this time around they can expect the total opposite.

“It has been flipped on its head; nothing is as it seems – when it comes to our relationships and our fights, and there were a fair few of those. You could even say we have all been born again.”

Charlotte, whose on-off relationship with fellow cast member Gary Beadle has become a main part of the show, travelled to Sydney, Australia, to film the new eight-part series.

“It was brilliant. I really, really enjoyed it. I loved all of the activities, white water rafting was my favourite,” she said. “It was dangerous – anything that comes with a risk of dying is always bound to be fun. Unreal.”

Charlotte is now in the midst of filming the seventh series in the show’s birthplace in Newcastle.

In past series, the cast have travelled to Magaluf, Cancun in Mexico and cities across Europe to film their scenes of drunken debauchery.

Geordie Shore is MTV’s highest rating TV show ever.

l Geordie Shore: Going Down Under begins on Tuesday at 10pm on MTV.
