Anth Charlton hit a magnificent 13-dart leg, including a 180, on the way to a 7-2 win over Neil Hardy.

Neil’s best winning leg came in 21 darts. Anth suffered defeat in his second game against Jake O’Brien, losing 7-4 with Jake hitting a 19-darter on his way to victory.

Hardy suffered a second defeat of the night to an in-form Jake O’Brien, who won 7-3 with 18 and 20-dart winning legs.

Tyne & Wear county player, Bobby “Snake Bite” Turnbull, overtook David Marley in the league, handing “Danger Mouse” a 7-2 defeat. Bobby’s best winning legs came in 16 and 21 darts, David’s best winning leg came in 20 darts.

Tony Cummings produced a last-gasp win over birthday boy Vince Loraine.

The game was finely poised at 5-5, but some fine darts from “Tank” in the last two legs ensured he came away win a 7-5 win.

Tony’s winning legs came in 15, 18, 19 and 20 darts, with two 180s and a fantastic checkout of 108.

Vince also produced fine form in the match, hitting winning legs in 20 and 21 darts.

Scott Anderson kept up with the leading pack by handing Scott Turnbull a 7-0 defeat.

Although both players suffered from a slow start, Anderson managed to pull out three 20-dart winning legs and a 180 on the way to victory, despite some heavy scoring from Turnbull.

Turnbull would have better luck in his next games, firstly handing Bob Laybourn a 7-1 defeat, hitting two 21-dart legs along with a superb 124 checkout.

Bob’s winning leg came in 18 darts.

Turnbull then drew 6-6 with Dean Parker, Scott’s best winning leg coming in 21 darts. Parker hit a magnificent 102 checkout on the way to a creditable draw. Bob Laybourn beat Dean Parker 7-3, with winning legs in 18, 20 and 21 darts.

Andy Lincoln was a man on form, winning both his matches.

Firstly, he handed Shaun Turnbull a 7-5 defeat in a last leg decider, both players hitting a 180 during the match. Andy’s best winning leg came in 19 darts, Shaun’s best leg was 21 darts.

Andy then defeated Shaun’s brother Liam 7-1, hitting a 17-dart leg and a superb 105 checkout.

Liam’s last game of the night saw him draw 6-6 with Kev Turner.

Liam’s best winning leg came in 21 darts, Kev hitting a 14-dart leg with two 180s on the way.
