Another band added to the bill of Down To The Woods music festival

Organisers have announced the indie rockers as the latest additions the bill, with more still to be confirmed.

The artists join Saturday headliners Primal Scream and Chase & Status on Sunday at the 10,000-capacity festival, held in the grounds of Hardwick Hall, Sedgefield, August 13, and 14.

Joining Primal Scream on the festival’s main stage The Grand Arcadia on Saturday are Echo & The Bunnymen, Clean Cut Kid, The Selecter, Vant, The Jacques, Lucy Spraggan, Hayley McKay, with a special guest still to be announced.

On Sunday Catfish and the Bottlemen and We Are Scientists join headliners Chase And Status, alongside Kwabs, Age Of L.U.N.A, Bleanavon, Hidden Charms and more.

The ‘Foxes Folly’ stage, located near the Roman-esque secret garden is headlined on Saturday by The Sunshine Underground and on Sunday by Peter Hook & The Light.

Playing host to 20 acts over the weekend, it features a wide array of upcoming talent including Kagoule, Kloe, Holy Esque, Neon Waltz and Tempesst.

Comedy acts will feature on the festival’s third stage, the Badgers Den.

Acclaimed stand up comedians Howard Read and Mike Wilkinson appear alongside leading North East natives Lee Kyle and Cal Halbert.

In the evening the Badgers Den becomes the perfect dance venue, with a full line-up of DJs bringing the beat to the party masses. Saturday features Joey Negro, Liam Carty, Michael Johnson, Rob Oxley, Adam Fraser and Duncan Sheehan on the decks.

Sunday sees sets from Richy Ahmed, Denney, Jeremy Healy, James Burton, Peter Wharrier and Appo.

The site will also have a fun fair, a kids' playground and face-painting, plus the adult-only pleasures of the fabulous Gin Palace, Champagne Bar and the quintessentially British Pimms Garden alongside various craft beer stalls.

Weekend tickets are priced at £99 per adult, £28 for young people aged 13 to 16 and £15 for children aged 3 to 12.

Day tickets are available and there are also boutique camping and special Gold Ticket VIP options.
