SPECTACULAR flying displays, great weather and a million visitors all helped create an unforgettable weekend on Wearside.
The 23rd Sunderland International Airshow saw seafront crowds turn out en masse.
Tourism bosses today estimated the festivities helped bring a whopping £12million to the city’s economy.
Flt Sgt Wayne Clayton, team coach of the RAF Falcons parachute display team, said: “It’s been brilliant. It’s probably the biggest show that we do.”
