TRAIN company East Coast is running an extra service for North East passengers during the Diamond Jubilee holiday.

Celebrations to mark the Queen’s 60 years on the throne are taking place across the country during the extended bank holiday weekend from June 2 to 5, including the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant and BBC Concert at Buckingham Palace.

East Coast, which runs trains between the North East and the capital, will operate an extra service after the concert on June 4, leaving London King’s Cross at 23.18, ahead of the last service at 23.30.
