Adradhya Tiwari produced a magnificent haul of 5-14 in 5.1 overs to help dismiss the hosts for 100 in 30.1 overs, while Isaac Unsworth plundered 3-12.

Sameer Awan and Mitchell Killeen also struck, with Amritveer Singh Punia top-scoring with 19 for Northumberland.

In reply, opener Thomas Reynolds’ tremendous, unbeaten 63 steered Durham home in 29 overs.

Durham Under-15s enjoyed a 50-run friendly victory over Durham School.

The County side won the toss and elected to bat, but both openers Adam Khan and Patrick Cooper falling cheaply, followed by Matthew Adamson being dismissed for three, with the scoreboard ready 30-3, but a 64 run partnership between Matthew Brown (37) and Dean Storey (23) led Durham to 142 all out in 39.4 overs. Leo Giacomelli bagged two wickets.

In reply, Durham School’s opening three batsman fell cheaply, but Sol Bell stuck around, scoring 43 from 51 balls before being stumped. They were 50 runs short on 92 all out. Aaron Feroz grabbed 2-0, while Matthew Oswell picked up 2-9. Adamson, Elliott Hearn, Helen Fenby and Storey also struck.
