23 purses stolen by shoplifter

POLICE are appealing for information after a shoplifter bagged a haul of accessories.

 Three handbags and 23 purses of various colours were taken from the Radley shop in Dalton Park on two days.

Police believe the same woman, who was seen acting suspiciously, may be responsible for the thefts of the items, worth a total of £1,200.

She is described as being about 5ft 6in tall, of large build, and having greasy, mousey-coloured hair.

The first incident happened between 4pm and 5pm on Thursday, February 3, with the second during the opening hours of the store on Tuesday, February 7.

CCTV is being reviewed as part of the investigation by police.
