A TV SLIMMER is hoping to change his life – but he needs your help.
Michael Chapman, 21, says he has been of large build “since he can remember”, and tried all kinds of diets to slim down.
The security officer, from Houghton, is down to the last six in ITV breakfast show Daybreak’s Dubai to Downsize competition, in which the final four contestants are taken to the Middle East for a fitness camp that will hopefully change their lives.
The Only Way is Essex star Mark Wright, TV presenter Sarah Heaney, fitness trainer Elise Lindsay, nutritionist Faith Toogood and mind coach Emma Kenny will jet a quartet of viewers to Dubai to get fit and hopefully stay healthy.
Michael wants to shed weight in time for his wedding to fiancee Natasha Jakeway, also 21, in November.
“I’m 21 years old and 21st. I don’t want to be 25 years old and 25st,” said former Houghton Kepier School pupil Michael.
“We’ve just booked the date of our wedding and I want to be a thin, healthy groom.
“Surgery is an option but I really don’t want to go down that route because it’s dangerous.”
Natasha, and Michael’s parents Alison, 46, and Gary, 48, are right behind his attempt to fight the flab.
Michael is now calling on as many people as possible to get him on the plane to Dubai.
Voting opens from 6.30am tomorrow and goes on until the following morning.
