THE Futureheads hit the high note to support Sunderland’s only independent record store.
The Mackem four-piece performed an a capella set at Hot Rats, in Stockton Road, on Saturday as part of Record Store Day.
The lads drew quite a crowd with their performance at the independent music shop.
Fresh from touring with latest album Rant, they also performed at stores in Newcastle and on Teesside in a drive to encourage more people to support independent record traders.
Hot Rats has been in the city centre for 18 years and specialises in classic vinyls and new music, as well as selling music T-shirts.
As part of Record Store Day, it was selling exclusive vinyls from The Futureheads and fellow Sunderland musicians, Field Music.
In June, The Futureheads will support Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Stadium of Light.
