University will host radio show

A POPULAR Radio 4 show is to be broadcast from Durham City next month.

Gardeners’ Question Time will be recorded at Durham University on November 7.

It will be recorded at Trevelyan College, Elvet Hill Road, at 5.30pm and be presented by Eric Robson and a panel of gardening experts, including Bob Flowerdew, Matthew Wilson and Bunny Guinness.

The university has illustrious gardening connections. Regular panellist Pippa Greenwood and Eden Project founder Tim Smit were both Durham graduates.

The show was first aired in 1947, and attracts about two million listeners every week.
