The Sunderland and South Tyneside Metro stations where most - and least - fare dodgers are caught

New figures show the Metro train stations where the most and least number of fare dodgers are caught by inspectors.

Here is an alphabetical breakdown for each station in Sunderland and across South Tyneside for 2018-19. They show the number of £20 penalty tickets issued and paid with their respective values in brackets. The information has been obtained through a Freedom of Information (FOI) request to Metro operator Nexus. It revealed around two-thirds of fines remained unpaid at the end of this period.

No tickets were issued at the Jarrow station and therefore none went unpaid.
