1. Ramside Hall Treehouses, Carrville, Durham
For a luxury break in sumptuous surroundings, book a stay in one of the three treehouses at Ramside Hall Hotel. Each treehouse has two hot tubs and can be booked as a whole house which sleeps up to 12 or as separate suites for couples, each with their own hot tub on a private veranda. Sink into the hot tub with a glass of fizz and enjoy views overlooking the 18th fairway of The Prince Bishops Golf Course.

2. The Impeccable Pig, Sedgefield, County Durham
This beautifully designed pub and restaurant with 10 rooms has plenty of quirky features if you're looking for a getaway location with character. Each room has its own style and the ground floor rooms have their own fresh water hot tubs on a private patio. If it gets too cold, you can always pop back inside and sink into the giant copper bath.
3. Hot Tub cottages, Wynyard Hall
As well as the beautiful main house, you also have the option to stay at hot tub cottages set in the sprawling picture-perfect grounds of Wynyard Hall. Each sleeps up to six people and they're ideal for special occasions or romantic getaways.
4. Morritt Hotel & Garage Spa, Barnard Castle, County Durham
Once a 17th century stopping station for travellers winding their way between London and Carlisle, the stone buildings at this hotel now house its 21st century Garage Spa with its industrial chic meets Scandi aesthetic.
