Have your say

THE Corner Flag, Indigo Rooms & Baby Indi literally have something for everyone.

They are three amazing bars under one roof on the old Idol’s site at the top of High Street West, in Sunderland.

The transformation of the bars is outstanding. When walking into Indigo Rooms you would be forgiven in thinking you were in a high-end bar in Durham or Newcastle.

With plush interior and funky distressed leather couches, it’s the perfect place to start the night or stay the night!

During the day you can sit back and relax with a coffee and food is served daily until 9pm. In the evening the pub is filled with decade classics and rock anthems.

Friday and Saturday nights are perfect for all the indie lovers out there who desperately miss Ku Klub.

Then we have Baby Indi which is a little hidden gem. Decked out with jewels and chandeliers, it’s the perfect setting for their champagne and cocktail bar.

Very cosmopolitan and it’s also licensed until 5am!

The Corner Flag is perfect for Sunderland’s vast army of football fans. The bar is tastefully decorated with football memorabilia and also has 23 screens to ensure you don’t miss a thing as they show all major sporting events.

They also cater for all tastes serving a wide range of beers and cider including Budvar, Bittburger and eight real ales.

These bars offer something different to Sunderland’s city centre which is quite refreshing and all are available for room hire.

The atmosphere during the day is very relaxed and friendly with a wide range of clientele from families to students.

Match days tend to be very busy with an electric atmosphere as there are specials galore on offer. A variety of different people are there for one thing, the football, but all are catered for whether it’s a pint of their finest ale or a meal for four while watching the match.

Evenings attract a younger crowd with selected drinks from £1.99, shots from £1 and selected cocktails on 2-for-1.

Whether you want to hear the latest commercial dance, dubstep or indie tracks, these three bars are well worth a visit on your night out.
